A brief history of The Logo Creator software.
I began creating custom logos for clients
back in 1995 as a way to supplement my income at a graphic design agency.
I soon realized that working for yourself was the only way to fly. I
created custom logos for others for 5 years online.
The Logo Creator was originally designed to
give my logo creation services some breathing room. I was getting so
busy, I needed to detour some of my clients. Rather than point them to
another designer, I decided to create a machine that would help my clients
design their own logos.
It soon proved so popular, I decided to stop
creating custom logos and focus on the software full time.

July 19th 2000
 The
Logo Creator version 1.2
officially launched on July
19th, 2000.
The first, and only logo set at the time (The 'Select' Edition), sold
for $99.

 Using feedback
from version 1.0's users ... I resigned the interface from the ground
up.
This new version took The Logo Creator to new heights! It made creating logos
from templates much more flexible. It was a hit. Read

March 2002
Improved logo design, better font management, cleaner
outlines, better printing options ... and 3 new logos sets!
This marked the year we decided to put out additional
logo packages. At this time they were 'add-ons' ... you needed
the original engine in order to open and modify the new
logo libraries.

July 20th, 2003
 Version
3.0 was a radical jump in technology. The features in version 3.0 are
much improved over previous versions of the software. new interface
(more flexible design), rotateable text, gradient text, rendering text
on a curve, greater manipulation of your own imported images
and updating the software via the internet were just some
of the major enhancements!
This marked the first time you could purchase an 'add on set' and use
it as a stand alone product.

Version 4.0 officially launches!
We took the comments in our
Laughingbird Software forum to heart! We enhanced the interface
greatly. It was now much more user friendly.
AND, we added many new tutorials from the users themselves! The
Laughingbird Software forum took off. That same year, the forum hit
3,000 members.

Better images and tighter programming made The Logo
Creator the #1 best selling logo design software title online and at retail
stores like CompUSA and Fry's Electronics!
We listened to our users and
updated the features and recreated each and every logo!

Laughingbird Software forum reached
9,000 members in 2006! |
Version
6.0 of The Logo Creator
Coming 2007
Version 6.0 will launch when Adobe updates
their Flash and Director Software! This should be sometime towards the
later part of 2007!
